The journey begins with a long but scenic drive from Dehradun to Raithal, a small mountain village overlooking the Bhagirathi valley. The road winds through Mussoorie and Uttarkashi, crossing rivers, pine forests, and mountain bends.
After breakfast, the trek begins. A gradual climb through oak and rhododendron forests leads you to Gui (2,850 m), a beautiful clearing facing the mighty Bandarpunch range. The trail feels calm, with bird calls echoing through the woods. By afternoon, you reach the campsite — tents under open sky, and silence all around.
The big day. You start early, climbing higher through alpine meadows that open up into the breathtaking expanse of Dayara Bugyal (3,650 m). The snow peaks stretch endlessly on the horizon — Srikantha, Bandarpoonch, and Gangotri ranges all in sight. After soaking it in and having a packed lunch, you descend back to Gui as the sun fades behind the ridges. 
Morning sunlight glows through the forest as you descend back to Raithal. By 10-11pm, you’re back in the village, sharing laughter, home-cooked food, and memories from the meadow.
In the evening let's explore the village, the 500yrs old house, local temples etc.
Time to say goodbye to the village. We will reach Dehradun by evening.
